About The Position

This Registered Nurse/RN II position is for the Emergency Department at Texas Health Rockwall. The role involves providing high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment, utilizing new and advanced equipment and technology. The department is supported by engaged leadership and a supportive team environment. The hospital, Texas Health Hospital Rockwall, has served its community for over 15 years, offering comprehensive medical and surgical services. It is a 105-bed acute-care hospital recognized for its commitment to patient safety, satisfaction, and clinical outcomes, holding a CMS Five-Star Rating and ANCC Pathway to Excellence® designation.

Requirements

  • Nursing Diploma required or Associate’s degree in Nursing required or Bachelor’s degree in Nursing preferred
  • 1 year experience as registered nurse or completion of an RN residency program required
  • Emergency Department experience strongly preferred
  • Texas RN - Registered Nurse required upon hire
  • BCLS - Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care required upon hire and maintained quarterly
  • CPI - Crisis Prevention Intervention Training required within 90 days of hire and maintained annually
  • ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support required within 90 days of hire
  • PALS - Pediatric Advanced Life Support required within 90 days of hire
  • A high degree of confidentiality, positive interpersonal skills, and ability to function in a fast-paced environment.

Nice To Haves

  • TNCC - Trauma Nursing Core Course preferred upon hire
