Requirements

  • Current State of Tennessee or Multi-State Registered Nurse licensure
  • Associate or bachelor’s degree or RN Diploma in Nursing
  • BLS certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross (ARC) - Required to be current upon hire

Nice To Haves

  • ACLS & PALS certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross (ARC) - Required within 6 months of employment, if not current upon hire.
  • TNCC
  • 1 year of Emergency Services nursing, AEMT, Paramedic or Military experience

Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients with acute and critical conditions, including trauma, cardiac events, respiratory distress, and other medical emergencies.
  • Quickly and accurately assess patient conditions, prioritize care based on severity, and initiate appropriate interventions.
  • Work closely with physicians, advanced practice providers, and multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized patient care plans.
  • Administer life-saving treatments and interventions for trauma patients, including wound care, medication administration, and emergency resuscitation.
  • Maintain clear and effective communication with patients, families, and the healthcare team to ensure seamless care delivery and positive patient outcomes.
  • Accurately document all patient interactions, assessments, interventions, and outcomes in the electronic medical record (EMR) system.
  • Provide patient and family education on medical conditions, treatment plans, and post-discharge care.
  • Adhere to hospital policies, procedures, and regulatory guidelines to ensure a safe and compliant environment for all patients and staff.
