About The Position

In the Emergency Department (ED) at Saint Francis Hospital and Medical Center, the Registered Nurse (RN) plays a crucial role in delivering care to emergent and critical patients. The role involves didactic learning sessions to enhance understanding of Emergency Department (ED) nursing, with a focus on utilizing a state-of-the-art simulation lab. The nurse will apply critical thinking skills to manage high-acuity and complex patients effectively and pursue certification as a trauma nurse, with opportunities for professional growth in a Level 1 Trauma Center.

Requirements

• Graduation from an accredited nursing program with an Associate’s degree in Nursing required.
• Valid RN license in Connecticut.
• One or more years of Emergency Room nursing experience.
• Must be able to function independently in the Emergency Room.

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing.
• BLS/CPR certification (American Heart Association or American Red Cross).
• ACLS and TNCC certification (support available post-hire).

Benefits

• Specialty pay available for experienced nurses with one or more years of RN experience.
• Hourly position, included in RN Step Program pay range: $36.15 to $59.95.
