About The Position
In the Emergency Department (ED) at Saint Mary’s Hospital, the Registered Nurse (RN) plays a crucial role in delivering care to emergent and critical patients. The role involves engaging in didactic learning sessions to enhance understanding of Emergency Department (ED) nursing, with a focus on utilizing a state-of-the-art simulation lab. The RN will apply critical thinking skills to manage high-acuity and complex patients effectively and will be encouraged to pursue certification as a trauma nurse, with opportunities for professional growth in a Level 2 Trauma Center.
Requirements
- Graduation from an accredited nursing program with an Associate’s degree in Nursing.
- Valid RN license in Connecticut.
- One or more years of Emergency Room nursing experience.
Nice To Haves
- Minimum of one year of acute inpatient nursing experience.
- BLS/CPR certification (American Heart Association or American Red Cross).
- ACLS and TNCC certification (support available post-hire).
