Registered Nurse - RN - Emergency Room
About The Position
In the Emergency Department (ED) at Saint Francis Hospital and Medical Center, the Registered Nurse (RN) plays a crucial role in delivering care to emergent and critical patients. This role involves didactic learning sessions to enhance understanding of ED nursing, utilizing a state-of-the-art simulation lab. The nurse will apply critical thinking skills to manage high-acuity and complex patients effectively and can pursue certification as a trauma nurse, with opportunities for professional growth in a Level 1 Trauma Center. This position is not designed for new graduates or those seeking training through Emergency Room Nursing, and candidates must be able to function independently in the Emergency Room.
Requirements
- Graduation from an accredited nursing program with an Associate’s degree in Nursing required.
- Valid RN license in Connecticut.
- One or more years of Emergency Room nursing experience.
Nice To Haves
- Bachelor’s degree in Nursing.
- BLS/CPR certification (American Heart Association or American Red Cross).
- ACLS and TNCC certification (support available post-hire).
