About The Position
This is a 13-week contract position for an experienced Emergency Room Nurse in Indianapolis. The role involves providing emergency nursing care to patients with acute illnesses or injuries, administering medications and treatments, collaborating with healthcare teams, maintaining medical records, responding to emergencies, and educating patients and families.
Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) licensed within the state of Indiana
- 2 years of recent and related experience, as required by the facility
- Must be able to work independently, yet together as part of a team
- Must be able to remain calm under pressure
- Proficient at taking vital signs and administering medication accordingly
- Active BLS, physical, TB test, and other medical compliance as required by the facility
Responsibilities
- Assess, triage, and provide emergency nursing care to patients with acute illnesses or injuries.
- Administer medications, treatments, and IV therapies.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams.
- Maintain accurate medical records and documentation.
- Respond quickly and effectively to medical emergencies.
- Educate patients and families.
