About The Position

Registered Nurse opportunities at Trinity Health Ann Arbor (THAA) Emergency Department (ED). This is a part-time position scheduled for 24 hours per week, primarily on the night shift (7:00 p.m.–7:00 a.m.), with every other weekend and holiday rotation. Occasional opportunities for alternative 12-hour shift assignments may be available based on department needs. The THAA ED is a 54 bed Level 1 Trauma ER that provides comprehensive emergency care to patients of all ages treating over 90,000 patients annually. The ED offers a fast-paced, high-acuity environment that requires strong clinical judgment, adaptability, and teamwork.

Requirements

• Current Michigan Nursing License.
• Graduate of an accredited nursing program is required.
• Nurses who do not currently hold a BSN must commit in writing to completing a BSN within five (5) years of their hire date.

Responsibilities

• Assessing patients, including developing, evaluating, and modifying the care plan.
• Interpreting and performing complex patient-care procedures specific to their expertise.
• Functioning as members of the Care Team and Support Team to accomplish patient outcomes identified in the pathway/plan of care.
• Assuming responsibility and accountability for the care given to a group of patients for a designated time frame.
• Providing care to patients via therapeutic use of self, the nursing process, the environment/technology, and other healthcare team members, according to established standards.
• Serving all age groups (Infant through Older Adults as identified in Performance Standards).
