About The Position

This position is for a Registered Nurse (RN) in the Emergency Department (ED) at Trinity Health Livingston in Brighton, MI. The role is full-time, 36 hours per week, with a 12-hour night shift (6:45 p.m. to 7:15 a.m.) and includes rotation for every third weekend and holiday. The Trinity Health Livingston ED is a Level 4 Trauma ER with 38 beds, providing comprehensive emergency care to all age groups and treating over 100 patients daily. It is a fast-paced, high-acuity environment that requires strong clinical judgment, adaptability, and teamwork. New graduates and upcoming graduates are encouraged to apply, and ideal candidates will have a strong interest in emergency nursing and prior ED or high-acuity clinical experience. Structured support is provided for a successful transition into emergency care.

Requirements

• Current Michigan Nursing License.
• Graduate of an accredited nursing program is required.
• Nurses who do not currently hold a BSN must commit in writing to completing a BSN within five (5) years of their hire date.

Nice To Haves

• Prior ED or high-acuity clinical experience.
• Strong interest in emergency nursing.

Responsibilities

• Assessing patients, including developing, evaluating, and modifying the care plan.
• Interpreting and performing complex patient-care procedures specific to their expertise.
• Functioning as a member of the Care Team and Support Team to accomplish patient outcomes identified in the pathway/plan of care.
• Assuming responsibility and accountability for the care given to a group of patients for a designated time frame.
• Providing care to patients via therapeutic use of self, the nursing process, the environment/technology, and other healthcare team members, according to established standards.
• Serving all age groups (Infant through Older Adults as identified in Performance Standards).
