About The Position

The Emergency Department RN provides direct patient care for paitent of all ages using the nursing process in accordance with applicable scope and standards of practice and with AVH policies, values, and mission. Works in support of the medical staff treatment plan. Educates patients and family around the plan of care and disease management. Actively supports the nursing philosophy by striving for excellence in patient care, professional development, interpersonal relations, time management, and continuous quality improvement.

Requirements

Associate degree in Nursing (ADN)
Unrestricted license to practice as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the State of Colorado, or ability to obtain prior to start date
Basic Life Support (BLS). May be obtained upon hire.
Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
Emergency Nurses Association - Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC)

Nice To Haves

Bachelor's (BSN) or Master's (MSN) in Nursing preferred.
2 years of emergency nursing experience preferred.
Certified Emergency Nurse certification preferred.
Certified Pediatric Emergency Nurse certification preferred.
Experience with EPIC preferred.
Bilingual in Spanish preferred.
