About The Position

This position is for a Registered Nurse/RN II in the Emergency Department at Texas Health Rockwall. The role involves providing high-quality patient care, responding to patient needs, and creating a healing environment. The hospital is a 105-bed acute-care facility serving Rockwall, Kaufman, Hunt, and surrounding counties, and has received a CMS Five-Star Rating and ANCC Pathway to Excellence® designation.

Requirements

• Nursing Diploma required or Associate’s degree in Nursing required or Bachelor’s degree in Nursing preferred
• 1 year experience as registered nurse or completion of an RN residency program required
• Texas RN - Registered Nurse required upon hire
• BCLS - Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care required upon hire and maintained quarterly
• ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support required within 90 days of hire
• PALS - Pediatric Advanced Life Support required within 90 days of hire
• A high degree of confidentiality, positive interpersonal skills, and ability to function in a fast-paced environment.

Nice To Haves

• Emergency Department experience or trauma unit experience strongly preferred
• CPI - Crisis Prevention Intervention Training required within 90 days of hire and maintained annually
• TNCC - Trauma Nursing Core Course preferred upon hire
