About The Position

Key Responsibilities:
Patient Care: Assess, triage, and stabilize patients with varying degrees of acute illness or injury in a 35-bed unit.
Clinical Procedures: Administer medications, perform wound care, insert IVs, and assist with life-saving interventions.
Monitoring & Evaluation: Continuously monitor vital signs, document changes, and initiate corrective actions based on assessment.
Documentation: Maintain accurate, timely electronic medical records (EMR) following all regulatory and nursing standards.
Collaboration: Work collaboratively with attending physicians, Advanced Practice Providers (APPs), and team members to deliver high-quality patient care.
Advocacy & Education: Provide emotional support and education to patients and families during crisis situations.

Requirements

• Valid RN License to practice in the Commonwealth of Virginia.
• RN Diploma, ADN, BSN, or MSN.
• BLS (required within 90 days), ACLS, and PALS.
• Previous ED experience is required; experienced nurses looking to specialize in the ED are encouraged to apply.
• Strong critical thinking, rapid assessment skills, and ability to handle high-stress situations
