About The Position
Saint Alphonsus Health System, Idaho's only hospital system recognized by Forbes as one of America's Best Large Employers for 2025, is looking for a Registered Nurse to join our Cardiovascular ICU (CVICU) team at our Level II Trauma Center in Boise, Idaho. This position will be located at our Regional Medical Center off I-184 and Curtis Rd. Working in our 10-bed Cardiovascular ICU offers a unique chance to build strong relationships in a supportive team while specializing in a highly sought-after field. You’ll collaborate with surgeons performing next-level surgeries and procedures while contributing to a growing program. Our pathway-driven post-surgical unit blends structured care while maintaining a level of autonomy ensuring a fulfilling experience every day. Requirements
- Idaho or multistate RN license (must establish Idaho residency within 6 months if applicable).
- BLS certification at hire; ACLS within 6 months of hire.
Responsibilities
- Work in a 10-bed unit with advanced technology and a highly skilled team, specializing in major cardiac surgeries and complex cardiovascular conditions.
- Care for patients recovering from intricate cardiac procedures, including coronary artery bypass grafting (CABG), heart valve surgery, and aortic surgery.
- Deliver specialized care with expertise, compassion, and a commitment to patient-centered approaches in our state-of-the-art intensive care unit.
- Administer medications and perform essential procedures to achieve optimal patient outcomes.
- Provide patient education and support to enhance health and wellness.
- Document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately and efficiently.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate care and ensure a smooth transition for patients.
