About The Position
Saint Alphonsus Health System, Idaho's only hospital system recognized by Forbes as one of America's Best Large Employers for 2025, is looking for a Registered Nurse to join our Cardiovascular ICU (CVICU) team at our Level II Trauma Center in Boise, Idaho. This position will be located at our Regional Medical Center off I-184 and Curtis Rd. The Cardiovascular ICU offers a unique chance to build strong relationships in a supportive team while specializing in a highly sought-after field. You’ll collaborate with surgeons performing next-level surgeries and procedures while contributing to a growing program. If working with advanced devices and equipment excites you, this role will keep you engaged and challenged. Our pathway-driven post-surgical unit blends structured care while maintaining a level of autonomy ensuring a fulfilling experience every day. Work in a 10-bed unit with advanced technology and a highly skilled team, specializing in major cardiac surgeries and complex cardiovascular conditions. Care for patients recovering from intricate cardiac procedures, including coronary artery bypass grafting (CABG), heart valve surgery, and aortic surgery. Deliver specialized care with expertise, compassion, and a commitment to patient-centered approaches in our state-of-the-art intensive care unit.
Requirements
- Idaho or multistate RN license (must establish Idaho residency within 6 months if applicable).
- BLS certification at hire; ACLS within 6 months of hire.
Responsibilities
- Administer medications and perform essential procedures to achieve optimal patient outcomes.
- Provide patient education and support to enhance health and wellness.
- Document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately and efficiently.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate care and ensure a smooth transition for patients.
