About The Position
We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Registered Nurse (RN) for a Correctional Healthcare assignment in New York State. The ideal candidate will provide direct patient care, conduct health assessments, develop nursing care plans, and collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to support patient health and well-being.
Requirements
- Active New York State Registered Nurse (RN) license required
- Current New York State RN registration required
- Must successfully complete all required background screening and clearance processes prior to assignment start

Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive nursing assessments and health screenings
- Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized nursing care plans
- Administer medications, treatments, and nursing procedures according to established standards
- Monitor patient conditions and respond appropriately to changes in health status
- Provide patient education, health counseling, and wellness support
- Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary healthcare teams to coordinate care
- Supervise and provide guidance to nursing support staff as needed
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
- Participate in healthcare committees, quality improvement initiatives, and patient care planning
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory, safety, and professional nursing standards
