About The Position

Responsible to assist leadership to plan, organize, educate and implement activities related to the area of responsibility's core operations. The RN Coordinator has primary day-to-day responsibility of assuring workflow turnaround times are met, daily tracking of workflow, communication to the team, staff scheduling coordination, and special projects. The RN Coordinator serves as a key liaison amongst the team.

Requirements

  • Registered Nurse (RN) - Board of Nursing
  • An active license in the state of practice
  • 1-3 years nursing experience
  • The individual must be able to work the hours specified.
  • Visual acuity adequate to perform position duties
  • Ability to communicate effectively with others
  • Ability to hear, understand and distinguish speech and other sounds.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinates projects and works with other departments to assure continuity of care.
  • This may include leading specific survey or accreditation programs for area of expertise.
  • Actively uses the nursing process in goal-focused patient care, demonstrating accountability as an individual and team member.
  • Synthesizes information from a variety of sources to develop and implement and individualized collaborative plan of care and discharge plan needs.
  • Assists the nursing care team in complex patient situations with regards to appropriate plan of care, critical clinical thinking skills, and patient education.
  • Documents the actions taken to address the plan of care.
  • Identifies and effectively communicates pertinent patient information to the health care team, patients and families in a clear, concise and timely manner, from one level or location of care to another for complete patient continuum of care while ensuring appropriate utilization of resources.
  • Is a resource for staff and assists to ensure timely, continuous, collaborative assessments and preparation of patients and families for the next level of care.
  • Assesses patient and family learning needs, coordinates necessary teaching and evaluates teaching outcomes.
  • Demonstrates knowledge of and utilizes safe and appropriate patient care protocols as set forth in the standards of practice and the unit/department policy and procedure manual relating to the needs of the patients.
  • Reports all operating process issues in a timely and accurate manner to leadership.
  • Assist with ongoing survey readiness including documentation, conducting medical record audits to support patient saftey.
  • Collaborating with unit and department leaders and staff for ongoing process improvement.

Benefits

  • Pay Range: $34.50 - $51.50
