About The Position

Eventide on Eighth Care Center is currently seeking an RN to work Part-time NOC shifts. This role involves providing the highest degree of nursing care in accordance with federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations, as well as Eventide's philosophy, policies, and procedures. The position offers a dynamic work culture and is set for 12-hour shifts (6:30 pm - 7:00 am) with every third holiday rotation. An overnight shift differential of $5/hour and a weekend shift differential of $2/hour are added to the base wage.

Requirements

  • Must have an active MN RN license or be able to obtain upon hire.

  • Experience in Long Term Care preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Assess residents’ needs and health status through physical assessments, observations, and interviews.
  • Provide individual attention to encourage residents' ability to maintain or attain the highest physical, mental, and psychosocial well-being.
  • Observe and follow residents’ plans of care, updating and making appropriate changes whenever necessary.
  • Administer medications and treatments and monitor both for effectiveness.
  • Provide direct nursing care to residents according to established nursing policies, procedures, and standards.
  • Comply with rules and regulations set forth by the Minnesota or North Dakota Department of Health and the Center for Medicare/Medicaid services.
  • Provide accurate documentation in residents’ electronic medical records.
  • Assist in orientation/training of new team members.
  • Report resident needs, problems, and observations regarding residents’ condition(s) to the Charge Nurse and/or attending physician.
  • Ensure adequate staffing levels for a scheduled shift and correct inadequate staffing appropriately.
  • Monitor the activities and functions of subordinate staff, which may include participating in the disciplinary process.
  • Ensure that work responsibilities of subordinate staff are completed thoroughly and accurately within scheduled shifts and according to established resident care policies, procedures, and standards.
  • Provide information, education, and support for assigned residents and their families.
  • Communicate the needs of residents to resident care staff in the unit, as appropriate.
  • Interact with physicians and other health care facilities as needed.
  • Continually update nursing skills and knowledge by attending in-services, continuing education programs, and staff meetings.
  • Coordinate and participate in resident care conferences and communicate information effectively to families.
  • Assume responsibility for promptly reporting any incidents or evidence of abuse, neglect, or violation of residents’ rights per policy.
  • Manage electronic timecards daily.
  • Carry out or assist with other tasks in addition to the duties listed in this job description as needed.
