Registered Nurse (RN) – Cardiac Telemetry Unit | 0.9FTE | Multiple 12 Hour Shifts
About The Position
The Staff Pad is partnering with a leading regional healthcare system in Wausau, Wisconsin to recruit Registered Nurses (RNs) for a high-acuity 44-bed Cardiac Telemetry Step-Down Unit. This role offers an opportunity to care for complex patients, strengthen cardiac, telemetry, progressive care, or critical-care skills, and work alongside experienced nurses, physicians, and interdisciplinary teams. You will gain hands-on experience caring for patients with a variety of complex cardiac, vascular, and pulmonary conditions, including those recovering from heart, vascular, and lung procedures. This position is ideal for an RN looking to advance their career in cardiac nursing within a nationally recognized cardiovascular program.
Requirements
- Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required
- Active Wisconsin and/or Michigan RN license
- Current BLS/CPR certification or ability to obtain within 90 days of hire
- ACLS certification required within six months of hire
- Strong commitment to teamwork, continuous learning, and exceptional patient care

Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality, evidence-based nursing care in a high-acuity cardiac telemetry environment.
- Continuously monitor patients and recognize changes in condition.
- Use strong clinical judgment and critical thinking to respond to changes in patient status.
- Care for patients recovering from cardiac, vascular, and pulmonary procedures.
- Manage patients with complex cardiac and pulmonary conditions.
- Administer medications, treatments, and nursing interventions according to evidence-based practice.
- Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to develop individualized care plans.
- Educate patients and families regarding diagnoses, treatments, medications, and discharge planning.
- Maintain accurate documentation and promote patient safety and quality outcomes.
- Deliver compassionate, patient-centered care in a fast-paced environment.
