About The Position

Registered Nurse (RN) – Cardiac Telemetry 4 – Full-time, Days Bring your passion to Texas Health so we are better + together Work location: Texas Health Fort Worth, 1304 Pennsylvania Ave, Fort Worth, TX 76104 Work hours: Full-time, 36 hours weekly, 3-12 hours shifts, 7:00 am – 7:00 pm, every other weekend and rotating holidays Department highlights: 25-bed Cardiac Telemetry Our Unit provides intermediate /telemetry level of care for CABG, MVR, TAVR, heart-failure, post-operative interventional cardiac care (Stents, Angioplasty, Cardiac Catheter) patients. 815-bed MAGNET facility Level I Trauma Center Primary Heart Attack Center PHAC The department prides itself in high performing staff with excellent critical thinking skills Self-Scheduling that helps with work/life balance as well as opportunities for educational and career growth Robust Unit Based Council (UBC) and engaged leadership team

Requirements

Diploma or Associate Degree in Nursing; BSN preferred
CLIAFE - must comply with CLIA regulations regarding foreign education equivalency required
Current RN licensure or compact licensure recognized by the Texas Board of Nursing upon hire
BCLS – prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly required
ACLS – within 90 days of hire required
CPI – Crisis Prevention Intervention Training – within 90 days of hire
1-year experience as a registered nurse or completion of an RN residency program required
basic computer skills using medical management application systems

Nice To Haves

Tele experience preferred - will consider Med/Surg experience
expiration date greater than 3 months preferred

Responsibilities

Delivers care to patients utilizing the Nursing Process
assesses the patient
plans the care of the patient
intervenes as appropriate
evaluates the effectiveness of interventions
Incorporates age specific safety/infection control measures into patient care.
Initiates action to meet patient and/or significant others need for information
Maintains continuity of patient care inter-shift, inter-hospital, and while expediting out of hospital transfers
Delivery of high quality of patient care through nursing education, nursing research and innovations in nursing practice.
