About The Position

8 Main is a 33-bed acuity adaptable step-down/progressive care unit specializing in Cardiac Care (post-intervention care, dysrhythmias, heart failure, and cardiac conditions requiring monitoring), Renal Transplant (recipients, donors, and transplant rejection), and Vascular Surgery (amputation, revascularization, and bypass). Additionally, we frequently care for patients with other acute medical needs, including DKA, ETOH withdrawal, sepsis, respiratory illnesses, and others. 8Main is a great place to develop, or bolster, your nursing skills, examples include: hi-flow oxygen and respiratory management, management of multiple IV drips, telemetry, peritoneal dialysis, Glucostabilizer tool for continuous insulin drips, post PCI care, and others. Position Summary: Registered Nurse - RN works in a collaborative environment to deliver excellent patient care as part of an interdisciplinary team providing evidenced-based medicine and individualized patient care. A Registered Nurse - RN is expected to facilitate all aspects of the patient visit experience.

Requirements

• Graduation from an accredited Nursing school and program
• Associate degree in nursing required
• Licensed in the State of Michigan
• Experience as an RN required
• Must apply to RN residency if new grad (takes place three times a year in February, July and October)
• Must enroll in BSN program within 6 months of hire and complete in 4 years of hire if ADN in Grand Rapids
