About The Position

The Registered Nurse (RN) in the Cardiac Cath Lab at Texas Health Dallas will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality patient care. This position requires a strong understanding of nursing education, research, and practice innovations. The role involves working in a fast-paced environment, demonstrating flexibility, and contributing to mutual problem-solving within a supportive, team-oriented setting that offers outstanding opportunities for growth. Texas Health Dallas is a Magnet-designated, full-service hospital with a long history of providing comprehensive care in specialties like cardiology, neurosciences, and emergency medicine. The Cardiac Cath Lab department itself is a high-paced procedure unit, performing approximately 225 procedures per month, with significant volumes in areas such as Cardiogenic Shock, STEMI, PVD, and Structural Heart interventions (TAVR, Mitral Clips, Watchman). The lab is equipped with 4 Cath Labs, 2 EP Labs, and 26 Observation/recovery beds.

Requirements

  • Diploma of Nursing OR Associate degree in Nursing (ADN) required.
  • 1 Year Experience as a clinical nurse (RN).
  • Current RN licensure or compact licensure recognized by the Texas Board of Nursing upon hire.
  • BCLS - Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly.
  • ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support –within 90 Days.
  • Must comply with CLIA regulations regarding foreign education equivalency.
  • Required to live within a 30-minute drive for on-call requirements.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s Degree of Nursing (BSN) preferred.
  • One (1) or more years’ current experience as a Cardiac Cath Lab, Critical Care or ED RN is strongly preferred.
  • IABP - Intra-Aortic Balloon Pump Certification Upon Hire.
