Registered Nurse (RN)- Burn Unit
About The Position
The 10NT Burns and Plastics unit is a 24-bed multi-leveled unit, commonly referred to as the Burn Center. It is a comprehensive unit for all levels of burn patients, including pediatrics and adults, with 16 Med-surg level beds and 8 ICU level beds. The unit also treats a variety of other surgical patients, including Plastic Surgery, Orthopedics, Trauma, and Urology. As one of two Burn Centers in North Carolina, it is verified by the American Burn Association (ABA), offering state-of-the-art care, training, and resources for all burn levels. In this role, you will learn various wound care techniques, including dressing, skin grafting and maintenance, and negative pressure wound vac applications.
Requirements
- Completion of an accredited or approved program in nursing
- Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which the teammate practices
- Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association
- ACLS are required within 6 months of hire
Nice To Haves
- 1 year of Med/Surg experience preferred

- As a skilled and compassionate RN, you will play a pivotal role in providing and coordinating comprehensive patient care through the nursing process to deliver safe, therapeutic care in accordance with established standards, policies, and procedures.
