About The Position

We are hiring a Registered Nurse for the Burn Care Clinic at Ascension St. Vincent in Indianapolis, IN. This PRN position is Monday through Friday, with no weekends or holidays required. The role involves providing direct nursing care, implementing and monitoring patient care plans, serving as a primary coordinator for patient care, carrying out physician and nursing orders, and assessing and coordinating patient discharge planning needs.

Requirements

BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
Registered Nurse credentialed from the Indiana Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing OR Required professional licensure at time of hire required.

Nice To Haves

Two years of general experience.
Burn or wound care experience is preferred.
Previous experience working in a clinic preferred.
PRN for hours, but would like to pick up 1-2 shifts a week ideally.

Responsibilities

Provide direct nursing care in accordance with established policies, procedures and protocols of the healthcare organization.
Implement and monitor patient care plans.
Monitor, record, and communicate patient condition as appropriate.
Serve as a primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care.
Note and carry out physician and nursing orders.
Assess and coordinate patient's discharge planning needs with members of the healthcare team.
