About The Position

ELIGIBLE FOR 5% CRITICAL CARE DIFFERENTIAL. Provides care to acutely and critically ill patients, in a highly technical and ongoing monitoring environment. These patients are facing life-threatening problems with varying needs, which require extensive medication protocols and therapies. Provides direct and individualized nursing care to patients based on the application of scientific nursing principles.

Requirements

  • Graduation from an accredited school of nursing and meets the requirements as specified in the Nursing Administration Policies.
  • Current License by the Nevada State Board of Nursing to Practice as a Registered Nurse, and meets the requirements as specified in the Nursing Administration Policies.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification and Advanced Cardiac Life Support Certification (ACLS) at hire.
  • A minimum of two (2) years of recent (within the last five years), documented ICU nursing experience.

Nice To Haves

  • One (1) year of critical care and burn care experience preferred.
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), Trauma Nurse Core Certification (TNCC) and (ABLS) Advanced Burn Life Support certification within 12 months of hire.
  • A minimum of one (1) year of recent (within the last five years) documented Wound and/or Burn Care RN experience
