About The Position

Prime Healthcare is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for the Adult Female Unit at Saint Mary of Nazareth Hospital in Chicago, IL. This is a full-time position with a schedule of 3 12-hour shifts (7a-7:30p), including rotating holidays and weekends. The role involves providing direct patient care, patient education, emotional support, running therapeutic groups, psychiatric crisis intervention, and managing seclusion and restraint. RNs are responsible for documenting medical histories, administering treatments and medications, and assisting with patient follow-up and rehabilitation. They also educate patients and families on managing illnesses, diets, exercise, and medication self-administration.

Requirements

Current and valid State license as a Registered Nurse
Current BLS certificate upon hire and maintain current
Working knowledge of Mental Health Laws and practice standards
Working knowledge of interdisciplinary treatment team process, behavioral health programming and daily nursing functions for inpatient and outpatient behavioral health units
Working knowledge of the continuum of care for behavioral health care
