About The Position

Inova Mt. Vernon Hospital is seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse to join the Behavioral Health team. This full-time night shift position (7:00 pm – 7:00 am) includes a rotating weekend schedule. A sign-on bonus and relocation assistance are available for qualifying external candidates. The demand for behavioral health services has led to the expansion of our 30-bed unit to 50 beds, with the new 20-bed unit specifically designed for this specialized population, and the existing unit modernized. Our behavioral health team was recognized with the 2021 Guardian of Excellence Award for Patient Experience from Press Ganey, placing us in the top 5% of healthcare facilities nationally. Inova Mount Vernon Hospital is a 237-bed facility offering state-of-the-art care in a community setting, situated on 26 acres of serene landscape. The hospital is home to several nationally recognized centers, including the Inova Joint Replacement Center, Inova Rehabilitation Center, Inova Wound Healing Center, and a recently renovated Veatch Family Emergency Department. Requirements

  • A minimum of 1 year of Registered Nurse clinical experience.
  • Education: BSN or ADN - If ADN, complete BSN within 5 years of start date.
  • BLS for Healthcare Provider Certification from the American Heart Association required.
  • RN licensed, and eligible to practice in the Commonwealth of Virginia.
  • Proficient in English, strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skill and the ability to display a caring demeanor towards others.
  • Proficient computer skills required.

Nice To Haves

  • Inpatient Psychiatric experience preferred
