At Advocate Health, being a nurse means delivering exceptional clinical care, leading with purpose, compassion, and boldness. As part of the One Advocate Nurse community, nurses are empowered to think boldly, collaborate with humility, and drive change through fearless curiosity, helping to shape the future of health. The 8C Abdominal Transplant (Liver, Kidney & Pancreas) unit is a 26-bed, high-acuity step-down unit to SICU, caring for transplant patients, as well as those with liver disease, renal disease, general abdominal surgeries, oncology surgery, and urological overflow. This fast-paced, moderate acuity floor requires the ability to think on your feet and build relationships with patients. The Registered Nurse will play a pivotal role in providing and coordinating comprehensive patient care through the nursing process, delivering safe, therapeutic care in accordance with established standards, policies, and procedures. This role involves using evidence-based practice, clinical decision-making, compassion, and skilled communication to create the safest patient environment and the best patient experience across the continuum. The position is located at Aurora St. Luke’s, a hospital recognized for its expertise in cardiac and stroke care, and a center for pioneering medical treatments.
