About The Position

This Registered Nurse position is for the Richmond Float Pool, offering flexibility for experienced RNs. The Float nurse will adhere to all Bon Secours policies and procedures, floating to all sites within the Richmond market and to various inpatient units including Med Surg, Telemetry, Step Down, and Critical Care, based on their skill set. The role requires 36 hours a week with self-scheduling, and requires working one summer and one winter holiday, as well as every third weekend. A shift differential is available for night and weekend shifts. Experienced RNs may be eligible for a $10,000 sign-on bonus.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited Associates degree or Bachelors degree in Nursing
• Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN)
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) – American Heart Association required
• Two or more years clinical RN experience required in at least 2 or more specialties.

Nice To Haves

• Floor med/surg experience (required for Behavioral Health unit floats)

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team
• Provide advanced treatment and care to patients with complex diagnoses
• Evaluates, updates and revises plan of care to facilitate achievement of planned and expected outcomes
• Administer medications in a safe manner consistent with the State of Practice and Bon Secours policies and procedures
• Other duties as assigned
