About The Position

Firelands Health is seeking a Registered Nurse for their Rehabilitation unit. This is a PRN position with 12-hour shifts from 7p-7a, requiring 24 hours per month, including one weekend shift. The role involves implementing the nursing process, performing patient assessments, monitoring care, documenting interventions, and educating patients, staff, and families. The nurse will also respond to emergencies, manage supplies, ensure a clean environment, and act as an ambassador for Firelands Health. Requirements

  • Must have a current Ohio RN license and CPR prior to patient care experience.
  • Excellent organizational, customer service skills, and computer proficiency are a must.

Nice To Haves

  • Rehabilitation Certification is preferred within 2 years in area of expertise.

Responsibilities

  • Implements the nursing process with patients including carrying out physicians orders regarding diet, medication and treatment in accordance with Firelands standards of care.
  • Performs assessments; monitors and ensures quality care through observation and evaluation; documents nursing interventions on care plans, medical records, and reports findings to physicians as needed.
  • Instructs patients, staff, and family members regarding treatments, nursing plans and related patient care directed towards a safe discharge.
  • Responds to emergencies; maintains availability of medications and supplies; ensures cleanliness of equipment and environment.
  • Demonstrate service excellence and acts as an ambassador and advocate for FRMC.
