About The Position

Firelands Health is seeking a Registered Nurse for its Rehabilitation unit. This PRN position involves working 12-hour shifts from 7p-7a, with a requirement of 24 hours per month, including one weekend shift. The role focuses on implementing the nursing process, carrying out physician orders, performing patient assessments, monitoring care, documenting interventions, and instructing patients, staff, and family members. The nurse will also respond to emergencies, maintain supplies, ensure equipment cleanliness, and act as an ambassador for Firelands Health.

Requirements

Current Ohio RN license
CPR certification prior to patient care experience
Excellent organizational skills
Excellent customer service skills
Computer proficiency

Nice To Haves

Rehabilitation Certification is preferred within 2 years in area of expertise.

Responsibilities

Implements the nursing process with patients including carrying out physicians orders regarding diet, medication and treatment in accordance with Firelands standards of care.
Performs assessments; monitors and ensures quality care through observation and evaluation; documents nursing interventions on care plans, medical records, and reports findings to physicians as needed.
Instructs patients, staff, and family members regarding treatments, nursing plans and related patient care directed towards a safe discharge.
Responds to emergencies; maintains availability of medications and supplies; ensures cleanliness of equipment and environment.
Demonstrate service excellence and acts as an ambassador and advocate for FRMC.
