About The Position

Registered Nurse (RN) Radiology Bring your passion to Texas Health so we are Better + Together. Work location: Texas Health Plano, 6200 W. Parker Rd. Plano, TX 75093. Work hours: PRN; Monday & Wednesday, 8:00am – 4:30pm with rotating call and holidays. Radiology Department Highlights: · Variety of exams performed · Comprehensive Stroke Center, Trauma Center, Advanced Cardiac · Fast paced high acuity and volume facility around 120 exams a day · Collaborative Radiologist Group including Interventionalist and Neuro Interventionist · Strong relationship with ED and Nursing. Requirements

Diploma in Nursing required or Associate degree from an accredited Nursing program or BSN preferred
Other – CLIAFE Must comply with CLIA regulations regarding foreign exchange equivalency required
One-year experience as a clinical nurse, or completion of an RN residency program.
RN – Registered Nurse Upon Hire Required
BCLS – Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly
ACLS – Advanced Cardiac Life Support within 90 days required
PALS – Pediatric Advanced Life Support within 90 days required

Nice To Haves

One year of Radiology experience preferred
Experience in ICU or ED with conscious sedation highly preferred

Responsibilities

Assesses the patient
Plans the care of the patient
Intervenes as appropriate
Evaluates the effectiveness of interventions
Incorporates age specific safety/infection control measures into patient care.
Initiates action to meet patient and/or significant others need for information
Maintains continuity of patient care inter-shift, inter-hospital, and while expediting out of hospital transfers.
