About The Position

This is a full-time Registered Nurse position in the Radiology Care Unit (RCU) at Texas Health Ft. Worth. The role involves delivering patient care using the Nursing Process, functioning in various roles such as outpatient Interventional Radiology (IR) and Computed Tomography (CT) pre-op, outpatient IR and CT recovery, and inpatient IR anesthesia recovery. The nurse will also float to CT for procedures needing moderate sedation, perform pre-procedure phone calls, and handle order entry for IR and CT outpatients, as well as Albumin administrations. Texas Health Ft. Worth is a Magnet-designated regional referral center and the only Joint Commission Comprehensive Stroke Center in Fort Worth and a Level 1 Trauma center.

Requirements

Associate degree from an accredited Nursing program OR Nursing Diploma
CLIA Must comply with CLIA regulations regarding foreign education equivalency
RN – Registered Nurse Upon Hire
1 Year Experience as a Registered Nurse or completion of an RN residency program
BCLS – Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly
ACLS – Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification required within 90 days of hire
NIHSS - National Institute of Health Stroke Scale Certification 6 months
A high degree of confidentiality, positive interpersonal skills, and ability to function in a fast-paced environment.

Experience as a PACU/Recovery, ED or ICU RN Highly Preferred
