About The Position

This is a contract position for a Registered Nurse specializing in psychiatric care. The role involves providing nursing care to psychiatric patients, primarily in an acute care setting. The nurse will work with adolescent and young adult patients experiencing low to moderate acuity conditions. Flexibility to float to similar units is required. The position also includes participation in weekend rotations and holiday coverage.

Requirements

• 2+ years of experience in psychiatric acute care settings.
• Current Illinois RN license.
• CPR certification.
• CPI certification.

Nice To Haves

• Epic electronic medical records experience preferred.
• Submit updated resume, psychiatric supervisor reference, completed skills checklist, and CANTS form upon acceptance.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care to psychiatric patients with a focus on acute care.
• Work with adolescent and young adult patients presenting with low to moderate acuity.
• Float to similar units as required.
• Participate in weekend rotations every other weekend.
• Work holidays as needed.
