About The Position
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) to join a behavioral health team in Pierceton, IN. This role is ideal for an experienced psych nurse who thrives in a structured mental health environment and is passionate about supporting individuals on their path to recovery.
Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Indiana
- Minimum of 1 year of nursing experience, preferably in a psychiatric, behavioral health, or crisis stabilization setting
- Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
- Strong clinical judgment and ability to manage multiple priorities
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a multidisciplinary team
Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality nursing care to individuals with mental health and behavioral conditions
- Conduct patient assessments and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans
- Administer medications and monitor responses and side effects
- Ensure a safe, therapeutic environment that adheres to facility protocols and state regulations
- De-escalate crisis situations using trauma-informed, evidence-based interventions
- Document nursing care accurately and timely in accordance with policy and regulatory guidelines
- Educate patients and families on diagnoses, medications, and discharge plans when appropriate
