About The Position

The Internal Progressive Unit (IPU) is a 28-bed Medical/Surgical Progressive Care Unit, also known as a Step-Down Unit. It provides care for a variety of conditions including pulmonary, cardiac, renal, hematologic/oncologic, and gastrointestinal issues. This unit is designed to sharpen nursing skills and build critical thinking abilities while working with complex patients. The team collaborates closely with the ICU and Rapid Response team, offering opportunities for learning and growth in a fast-paced, supportive environment. Nurse feedback is valued to shape culture and improve care.

Requirements

  • Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which the teammate practices.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association.
  • At least 6 months of RN experience.
  • Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing.
  • Current RN licensure in an appropriate state.

Nice To Haves

  • Minimum one year nursing experience preferred.
