About The Position

This role is for a Registered Nurse in a Progressive Care Unit (PCU) / Intermediate Care Unit (IMCU) with a cardiac population. The unit has 28 beds and a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:3-4. Responsibilities include caring for patients with STEMI, NSTEMI, CTS, and C/P. Experience with cardiac drips such as Milrinone, Dobutamine, and Pressors is required. Nurses may also be assigned to telemetry beds within the same unit for lower acuity patients.

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar sized facility.
• Documented PCU experience in work history.
• BLS required.
• ACLS required.

Responsibilities

• Provide care for patients in a 28-bed PCU/IMCU with a cardiac population.
• Manage patients with STEMI, NSTEMI, CTS, and C/P.
• Administer cardiac drips including Milrinone, Dobutamine, and Pressors.
• Care for telemetry patients with lower acuity levels within the same unit.
• Maintain a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:3-4.
