About The Position

Navitas Healthcare, LLC is seeking an experienced Progressive Care Unit Registered Nurse (PCU RN) for a travel assignment in Atlanta, GA. This opportunity is ideal for nurses with strong cardiac PCU/IMCU experience and the ability to care for high-acuity cardiac patients in a fast-paced hospital environment. The RN will provide specialized nursing care for patients requiring advanced monitoring and cardiac interventions within an Intermediate Coronary Care setting. The unit is a 28-bed Progressive Care / Intermediate Coronary Care Unit with an RN-to-Patient Ratio of approximately 1:3–4. The patient population is cardiac-focused and includes STEMI, NSTEMI, Chest Pain (C/P), and Cardiothoracic Surgery (CTS) patients. Experience managing cardiac drips such as Milrinone, Dobutamine, and Vasopressors is required.

Requirements

Active Registered Nurse (RN) License required
Documented Progressive Care Unit (PCU) experience required within work history
Strong cardiac PCU/IMCU experience required
Experience with cardiac drips including Milrinone, Dobutamine, and Pressors required
BLS Certification required
ACLS Certification required
Ability to work efficiently in high-acuity cardiac environments

Responsibilities

Provide direct nursing care to cardiac PCU/IMCU patients
Monitor cardiac rhythms, hemodynamic status, and patient response to treatment
Administer cardiac drips and medications safely and accurately
Perform ongoing patient assessments and escalate clinical concerns appropriately
Collaborate with cardiologists, physicians, and interdisciplinary healthcare teams
Maintain accurate documentation and patient charting
Educate patients and families regarding cardiac care and recovery
Ensure compliance with patient safety, infection prevention, and hospital protocols
