About The Position

This role is for a Registered Nurse in the Procedural Observation department at Ascension Sacred Heart Pensacola. The position is full-time and operates on the night shift. The nurse will implement and monitor evidence-based care plans, direct multidisciplinary care coordination, monitor and execute physician and nursing orders, and assess and coordinate discharge plans.

Requirements

• BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• Licensed Registered Nurse credentialed from the Florida Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required. Licensed as a Registered Nurse in Florida required. Credentialed from State Board of Nursing or current home state license for multi-state license recognition "Compact State" obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
• Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing OR Required professional licensure at time of hire.

• Previous Med Surg experience.

Responsibilities

• Implement and monitor evidence-based care plans to optimize patient health outcomes in alignment with clinical standards.
• Direct multidisciplinary care coordination as the primary point of contact to ensure seamless, well-synchronized patient experiences.
• Monitor and execute physician and nursing orders accurately to maintain clinical continuity and deliver timely therapeutic interventions.
• Assess and coordinate discharge plans with the healthcare team to support safe transitions and reduce readmission risks.
