About The Position

The Registered RN is a professional care-giver who, as a member of a multidisciplinary health care team, assumes responsibility and accountability for a group of patients for a designated time frame and who supervises and provides care to these patients utilizing the nursing process including the therapeutic use of self. Follows established policies and procedures. Communicates openly with internal customers and supervisors. Provides excellent customer service interfacing well with all levels of staff, management and physicians. Applies Cooper core values. Other duties as required.

Requirements

At least 2 years of acute care experience with at least one of these years being in the specialty area in which you are applying.
Graduate of NLN accredited School of Nursing.
Current NJ-RN License (Registered Nurse).
Current NJ-BLS Certification (Basic Life Support).
Per Diem, 7 am -7 pm, weekends and holidays required.
Nurses shall work at least three (3) weekend shifts per six (6) week schedule, and six other shifts per six (6) week schedule, which must include four(4) holiday shifts per year (two (2) winter and two (2) summer).
Weekend shifts are defined as Friday/Saturday or Saturday/Sunday for night shift and Saturday/Sunday for the day shift; the 3rd weekend shift can be the RNs choice.
Nurses must schedule themselves for the full shift, as assigned, in order to meet these work requirements.

Nice To Haves

Current NJ-CNOR (Certified Nurse, Operating Room) preferred.
Certain specialties may require advanced certification (i.e. ACLS, NALS, PALS).

Responsibilities
