Registered Nurse - PreOp/PACU
About The Position
Saint Luke’s Hospital in Kansas City is seeking a PACU RN to join their Perianesthesia team. In this position, you will provide pre-operative and post-operative care to patients with various conditions and acuity levels undergoing various procedures including; but not limited to orthopedics, total joints, sports medicine, GYN, urology, plastics, general surgery, ophthalmology, and some spine. This is a tight knit collaborative team that supports each other and are willing to go above and beyond for their peers, our patients and their families. They are a customer focused team where patient experience is a top priority. This is a Full Time Day position. This position does take call. We are looking for an experienced nurse who is driven by innovation and continuous improvement. We need an out of the box thinker who is solution focused and seeking a challenging environment. We are seeking a compassionate RN with strong critical thinking skills who is passionate about ensuring a positive patient experience for our patients and their loved ones.
Requirements
- 1 year Applicable Experience
- Basic Life Support - American Heart Association or Red Cross
- Registered Nurse (MO) - National Council of State Boards of Nursing (NURSYS)
- Associate Degree - Nursing
Responsibilities
- Provides pre-operative and post-operative care for inpatient and outpatient procedures.
- Utilizes the nursing process
- Performs patient care, delegating patient care tasks and for supervision of other patient care staff
- Coordinates the plan of care for a group of assigned patients and consulting with other members of the health care team when indicated to ensure optimal patient outcomes
- Demonstrates proficiency and abides by policies, rules, guidelines and procedures
