About The Position

St. Luke's Wood River Medical Center is seeking a Registered Nurse for their Pre/Post/PACU unit. This role involves providing quality surgical and diagnostic/therapeutic care to patients ranging from pediatric to geriatric. The nurse will be responsible for patient evaluation, assisting physicians, and planning, implementing, and documenting nursing care. Training will be provided in Pre-Op, Post-Op, PACU, and Endoscopy procedures. The position requires some on-call duties with a 30-minute response time.

Requirements

Nursing Degree (ADN or BSN)
Current RN licensure from the State of Practice

Nice To Haves

1+ years of Pre Op, Post/Op- PACU or Endo experience highly preferred

Responsibilities

Evaluating patients
Assisting physicians with patient care
Planning, implementing, and documenting nursing care based on patient’s needs
Providing quality surgical and diagnostic/therapeutic care to inpatient, outpatient and ambulatory pediatric through geriatric patients
Being trained in all areas of perioperative care- Pre-Op, Post-Op, PACU and Endoscopy procedures
Performing on-call duties
