About The Position

Jersey Shore Ambulatory Surgery Center, located in Somers Point, New Jersey (Atlantic County), is a state-of-the-art facility with four modern operating rooms, dedicated to delivering high-quality, patient-centered outpatient surgical care. Jersey Shore ASC offers a convenient, cost-effective alternative to hospital-based surgery, without compromising safety or outcomes. Our physicians specialize in a range of outpatient procedures, including orthopedic total joint replacement, sports medicine, podiatry, ophthalmology, spine surgery, pain management, and general surgical procedures. The center maintains full compliance with the New Jersey Department of Health, Medicare certification standards, and the guidelines of the Accreditation Association for Ambulatory Health Care (AAAHC), ensuring the highest standards of care. The Registered Nurse (RN) supports pre-op, PACU, and stepdown patient care. This position is responsible for assessing patients, delivering individualized nursing care, monitoring recovery, and collaborating with the surgical team to ensure safe, efficient procedures and optimal outcomes.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited RN program
  • Current NJ RN license (unencumbered)
  • At least 1 year of OR or perioperative nursing experience (within last 3–5 years)
  • Current BLS (ACLS required within 6 months)
  • Strong clinical judgment, communication, and teamwork skills

Nice To Haves

  • Member of the Association of Operating Room Nurses (AORN)

Responsibilities

  • Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care in perioperative settings
  • Monitor patient status and respond to changes during recovery
  • Document accurately and communicate effectively with team members and patients
  • Maintain sterile environments and adhere to safety protocols
  • Support patient education and post-op instructions
