About The Position

Serve as the Clinical Nurse Specialist and evidence-based practice expert to improve patient care, patient safety, and nursing quality across assigned clinical areas. Partner with interdisciplinary teams and clinical leaders to identify quality improvement opportunities, strengthen care coordination, and improve patient outcomes through best practices. Lead evidence-based practice initiatives by implementing clinical guidelines, updating protocols, and supporting quality improvement efforts that enhance direct patient care. Analyze quality metrics, patient safety data, and clinical documentation to identify trends, measure outcomes, and drive continuous improvement in nursing practice. Coach, mentor, and develop nursing staff through education, unit rounding, and competency support to strengthen clinical excellence and professional growth. Collaborate with clinical leaders to implement evidence-based solutions that improve patient outcomes, ensure regulatory compliance, and support high-quality, patient-centered care.

Requirements

  • BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Red Cross or American Heart Association accepted.
  • Registered Nurse credentialed from the Texas Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing from an accredited school/college of nursing required.

Nice To Haves

  • 3 year previous critical care experience preferred.
  • preceptor critical care experience preferred.
