About The Position

Our Postpartum unit at UW Medical Center-Montlake is looking for an experienced nurse interested in joining our team. UW Medical Center-Montlake proudly holds the distinction of being the very first Magnet Designated hospital in the United States. The unit has a family-centered focus with 18 postpartum mother/baby rooms and cares for medically complex and high-risk postpartum patients.

Requirements

Have or obtain a WA state license to practice as an RN or MSL
Graduated from an accredited school of nursing
Two or more years of postpartum experience
BLS

Responsibilities

Provide the highest-level of care for our patients by working with Obstetric, Maternal Fetal Medicine and Pediatric/Newborn providers who are in-house and accessible around the clock.
Have access to certified lactation consultants 7-days per week.
Collaborate with dedicated perinatal social workers for care coordination, as needed.
Adhere to AWHONN staffing standards.
Nurse patient ratios are assigned by acuity.
Ratios can be anywhere from 1:3-1:6 (mother = 1 patient, Baby = 1 patient).
