About The Position

Odessa Regional Medical Center seeks a Registered Nurse for its postpartum unit. The role evaluates assigned patients and plans, implements, and documents nursing care. The nurse assists physicians during examinations and procedures, performs patient tests, and administers medications within the scope of RN practice. The position promotes patient independence by establishing care goals and teaching patients and families about conditions, medications, and self-care skills. It relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals, involves a variety of tasks, and expects creativity and latitude. The role typically reports to a manager or head of a unit or department. This is a full-time day position with 12-hour shifts from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Relocation assistance is available.

Requirements

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Texas.
BLS certification.
NRP and STABLE certification.
COAP and Suicide Prevention course.
Minimum 1 year of experience.
Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.
Compassionate and patient-centered approach to care.

Nice To Haves

ACLS certification.
PALS certification.
