About The Position
Sentara Leigh Hospital, located in Norfolk, VA, is hiring a full time RN (Registered Nurse) in our surgical unit. New Grad RN's Welcome! We're excited to share our starting pay rate for new graduate registered nurses with less than 1 year of experience is $36.00/hour. Sign On Bonus paid to candidate successfully hired. 5 East at Sentara Leigh Hospital is a 25-bed inpatient post-surgical specialty unit dedicated to caring for adult patients as they recover from a wide range of surgical procedures. Our highly collaborative nursing team works hand in hand with our surgeon teams and other disciplines to coordinate individualized, patient-centered care, support recovery, and prepare patients for a safe transition home. Teamwork is at the heart of our unit, with a strong focus on communication, shared problem-solving, and supporting one another while caring for complex post-surgical patients. Nurses on 5 East develop specialized skills in post-operative assessment, pain management, mobility, wound and ostomy care, and the management of tubes, drains, catheters, and other surgical devices.
