Innovative Registered Nurse Post Op/PACU 1.0 FTE - Boise
About The Position
We are a busy, fast paced 31 bed PACU that recoveries patients that have had general anesthesia from the main OR, CVOR, EP lab, cath lab, endoscopy, medical imaging, and interventional radiology. 30% of our patient population is children (infants to adolescents), while the rest is adults. Generally, we staff one nurse to two patients based on acuity and age and are considered a critical care unit. This is a 1.0 FTE position (80 hours per pay period). Members of the innovative night call team have a 1.0 FTE and are scheduled or on-call for 7 nights and then have 7 nights off (including holidays), and are paid 80 hours a pay period. This schedule rotates every pay period. Team members have 26 weeks off each year.
Requirements
- Nursing Degree (ADN or BSN)
- 1 year's RN experience is required.
- Current RN licensure from the State of Practice
- BLS required

Responsibilities
- Recover patients that have had general anesthesia from various surgical and interventional areas.
- Provide care to a patient population that includes both adults and children (infants to adolescents).
- Manage patient care with a nurse-to-patient ratio of generally one nurse to two patients, based on acuity and age.
- Function as a critical care unit nurse.
