About The Position

Navitas Healthcare, LLC is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to provide high-quality post-anesthesia care to patients recovering from surgical procedures. The ideal candidate will have strong Medical-Surgical, IV Therapy, Phlebotomy, and Conscious Sedation experience and be comfortable working in a fast-paced PACU environment.

Requirements

• Active New York State RN License
• Primary Source Verification of RN License and Registration (NYSED)
• Associate Degree in Nursing (ASN/ADN)
• Minimum 2 years of Medical-Surgical nursing experience
• Minimum 2 years of IV insertion experience
• Minimum 2 years of Phlebotomy experience
• Minimum 2 years of Conscious Sedation experience
• BLS Certification (AHA)

Nice To Haves

• BSN
• PACU, ICU, or high-acuity surgical experience
• Strong critical thinking and assessment skills
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities

Responsibilities

• Provide direct post-anesthesia nursing care to recovering patients
• Monitor vital signs and assess patient condition during recovery
• Administer IV medications and perform IV insertions
• Perform phlebotomy and obtain blood samples as needed
• Monitor and manage patients receiving conscious sedation
• Recognize and respond to changes in patient condition
• Document patient care accurately and timely
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and healthcare teams
• Educate patients and families regarding post-operative care
• Maintain infection control and patient safety standards
