This role is for a Registered Nurse in the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU), a 0.9 FTE position with a Day/Night Rotator schedule. The PICU has 40 beds with 8 additional expansion beds dedicated to pediatric critical care for tracheotomy, CRRT, vents, organ transplant, and bone marrow transplant with research and ECMO services. The position offers up to a $15,000 sign-on bonus and relocation assistance for experienced pediatric ICU RNs who meet eligibility requirements. Training and support are provided for nurses new to pediatrics, including a personalized orientation and a typical training period of 10 weeks or more. The RN functions within the Scope of Practice as defined by the State, the ANA Scope and Standards for Pediatric Nursing Practice, and adheres to Seattle Children's policies/procedures and guidelines of care. The role involves providing safe, family-centered patient care, including assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care in collaboration with the patient, family, and healthcare team. The RN may also be required to supervise and delegate tasks to other healthcare personnel.
