About The Position

This is an evergreen opportunity, meaning that by applying once, you will be considered for current and future RN openings across our system. We are seeking experienced Registered Nurses with a minimum of 18 months of recent or current inpatient experience in the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU). Opportunities exist in the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU), a 16-bed unit that practices Family Centered Care. Locations available may include Edward Hospital. The role involves providing professional nursing care in accordance with the Illinois Professional Registered Nurse Practice Act and hospital policies and procedures. This includes employing critical thinking skills, assessing patients' conditions, recognizing changes, planning and evaluating care, monitoring patients' progress, and recording pertinent observations. The nurse will also delegate appropriate patient care tasks to other staff and function as a team member to fulfill unit goals. These are general characteristics, and duties may vary by assigned unit or shift.

Requirements

Current professional Nursing Licensure in the State of IL required
BLS through AHA and PALS certification
Minimum of 18 months of recent or current inpatient experience in PICU

Nice To Haves

BSN degree preferred

Responsibilities
