About The Position

This position is specifically to serve as a dedicated Phone Triage Nurse for the Electrophysiology (EP) program, supporting patients with heart rhythm disorders and coordinating care across their treatment journey. The role involves providing specialized telephone triage for electrophysiology patients, assessing arrhythmia-related symptoms, cardiac device concerns (pacemakers/ICDs), and post-procedure recovery needs to ensure timely and appropriate care. The nurse will coordinate electrophysiology patient care by reviewing diagnostic results, addressing medication and treatment questions, and collaborating closely with providers to optimize outcomes for patients with heart rhythm disorders. Responsibilities include responding to patient calls and electronic messages, prioritizing concerns based on clinical urgency, providing education within scope of practice, and ensuring timely resolution of patient needs. The role also facilitates care coordination by scheduling appointments, obtaining prior authorizations, processing prescription refills, and supporting continuity of care. Accurate and timely documentation of all patient communications, clinical assessments, and care interventions is required.

Requirements

  • Associate's Degree Nursing/Patient Care
  • 1 year Nursing/Patient Care in acute care or ambulatory settings
  • Registered Nurse (RN) - State Licensing Board
